Simple at one end, complex at the other

Things that look simple may not be that simple. For example, you order a book online, and the next day, it arrives at your location. Maybe hundreds of different microservices coordinated each other to achieve this, from order receiving to packaging to logistics to delivery. Things may be simple for the end user, but there may have been a significant amount of work involved in making this simple.
