Reading is the way of gaining knowledge. Yes, you can get knowledge through listening, watching too but reading is one of the best ways of it.

You can read always at your speed. I have stopped watching the video tutorials, and started reading the documentation regarding the technical domain I want to learn. Reading is the only way that I prefer now to learn something new.
