Daniel Coyle in his book The Talent Code writes about the perception of self with an example of how few students who are learning music will be extremely good musicians. There he finds out, how much the perception of self is important. A student having a perception that he is a musician will one day become an excellent musician because the perception of self is like a snowball rolling downhill.
