Reading documentation is actually better than watching video tutorials. There are no ads and you cannot really change your focus, if you want to learn something then you need to pay attention to each word and try it out yourself. And it is pretty speed. I think I will be spending more time on technical documentation than watching videos to learn a new programming language.
If you are learning something on youtube then there is much chance that you won’t complete the tutorial until and unless you have a great desire to learn that new programming language or skill. It is because of the recommendation system, which eventually manipulates you. I am feeling that text-based content is better than video content. I have learned many things through video tutorials but after a while, when you have certain experience then you may find technical documentation better.
