Winning against a weak competitor doesn’t feel great. But, a win that is against a strong opponent is considered a real win. This is true in most of the sports. When two teams are strong, the crowd to watch the game is higher compared with when two weak teams play the game.
When you put a great amount of effort into achieving something, it will be valued more.
