Build a Skill

By Prajwal Haniya

I grew up in my grandparent’s home. Nobody ever forced me to learn anything. I was left to explore on my own. Luckily, I have seen my grand mother working a lot. She used to cook, go to school to teach kids, and evening she used to take music classes (carnatic music).

I am grateful for the experiences I had.

I have seen her work harder than anyone else around me. She is 5 decades older than me. I have seen her possessing the most skills one can have considering her age and exposure. She earned with her skills. It takes a great amount of interest and courage to learn something and earn out of the skill you developed.

The lesson is clear, build a skill that can add value. Love the process, instead of the outcome. Add value.
